FDA Botox - Does it Matter?

A word of caution! Don't Be Fooled! There are horror stories of individuals being injected with illegal Botox and Filler products in the USA by scams of individuals praying on naivete of good people. There are also many Botox parties in homes that go array because they include alcohol, which impairs good judgement. There has been sting operations by the DEA in which they found mercury in the products that were being injected, that were non-FDA approved products. Buying product online and injecting oneself or individuals being approached by anyone that offers injectables in your home is dangerous. Nurses in the State of Oklahoma cannot practice in this manner. It is illegal and dangerous, especially if they purchase products that are also illegal. People may scoff at this idea but if they are the one that gets an occlusion and looses blood supply to their face after injections with an injector without proper medical resources, it is a true complication.

Good practice of a medical spa has a medical director and injectors that are trained by companies such as Allergan, Abbvie, Galderma or Merz that sell FDA approved products. The treatments of FDA approved products sold in the USA for neurotoxins such as Botox, Dysport and Xeomin or dermal fillers such as Juvederm or Restylane products are clinically performed in the medical spa clinic. The price may be lower by using a non-FDA product, but your face should be your priority. So, think about it.... is it Really Worth It? It's a Big No!
